Here’s to celebrating books that strike my fancy every week!

Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan – Realistic/Historical Fiction/Fantasy – Release Date March 2015- I think I need to think about this novel for a long time. And perhaps reread it. I absolutely loved all the stories that tied together and reverberated with one another. What a gorgeous celebration of creativity and music. Somehow this story provides the reader with numerous characters that pull you in and make you care about them and become anxious about their situations. It was challenging to switch from one character’s story to the next because you’re left desperate to know what happens to the previous character but Pam Munoz Ryan’s talent fixes all that by the end of the book. Be prepared for heartache from one form to the next of how humans can treat one another unfairly and how human assumption and ignorance can be fought and survived. I don’t want to give away anything. This book made me want to go buy a harmonica for all my family members, including myself. I’ve missed novels from this amazing author and am so happy to have had the opportunity to enjoy this…
