Enjoyed a busy week here in Asia… Conferences and shopping, plus a little food fun! There are three weeks left of the school year and we’re at the point which has a student led conference and flowers are continually blooming. Enjoyed hearing and seeing how our son’s skills grew through the year and what he really enjoyed learning during the school year.

Barely stepped over the border and we were shopping in another country. Taking pictures was not welcomed in most locations, so a little sparse. We had a fantastic lunch at a hotel nearby called Shangri La- buffet packed with delicious variety! I enjoyed learning how to negotiate, walk away from poor deals, and meet various salespeople to visit in the future. I was quite overwhelmed by everything that was being sold, various name brands I hadn’t been aware of before, and how pushy salespeople could be. Interesting things to adjust to but enjoyed. I was happy to return to Hong Kong with a few new items in my bags plus a promise of a return soon to pick up items from a tailor. I am especially grateful to the friends who introduced me to Shenzhen, gave me advice about where to shop, introduced me to important people to know in Shenzhen, planned out a lovely day, and provided a relaxed mode of travel to boot! Here are a few pictures I did get an opportunity to snap:
