Today’s focus: Heroes – It is fun to reflect on one thing each week that really catches my attention, entertains me, and is special enough I just have to share it with the world.
Here’s my Whatever Wednesday Randomness:
CNN Heroes, I’ve enjoyed watching videos of CNN Heroes is pretty incredible. I admire so many people’s actions throughout the world.
One thing I’ve been obsessed with in the past is war dogs. I’ve read numerous books about war dogs, and a cat, through the years. My favorite war dog book is Nubs- The True Story of a Mutt, Marine, and Miracle by Brian Dennis, Kirby Larson, and Mary Nethery.
The winner of CNN Heroes, Pen Farthing, founder of Nowzad Dogs, reunites soldiers with their service dogs and helps care for other animals as well.
Touching story, here’s his win video:

Here’s a quick video that shows his program Nowzad in action in Afghanistan.
Much thanks to my mom for sharing this and getting me excited about CNN Heroes again!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Thank you again to “Eat the Book” for the Whatever Wednesday meme: http://mretome.wordpress.com David Etkin’s words: “Whatever Wednesday — a chance to post something I’ve seen that I’m diggin’. A cool quote or poster, a picture, student work, a video—you know, Whatever. Enjoy!… and consider posting your own Whatever.”
